Our 2022 seedling list is finally here. We apologize for the delay but this spring has been very busy already with lambs, chicks and open farm days. We’ve been having a great time with all the babies but its made getting computer work done very challenging. 🙂
Our seedling sale will begin Saturday, May 28th at 9:00 and go through June or until we run out of seedlings. We have purchased 2 new pop-up greenhouses for the front yard and that is where the seedlings will be located. You will be able to pay for the seedlings in the tent or go into the store and pay there. The store will be stocked with some awesome spring veggies, goodies, eggs, meat, cheese, maple syrup and lots of other things so be sure to check it out when you are here.
We have some new varieties of tomatoes we are trying this year. And lots more flowers. We will have much more than what is listed on the sheet but these are the varieties we know will be available. No need to pre-order your seedlings anymore but obviously the best selection will be available the first weekend of the sale so you may want to shop then.
A quick word about the lateness of the sale: this has been a pretty cool spring so far and we still have some nights predicted to be in the low 40’s over the next few weeks and that is too cold for tender plants to be outside. Cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, basil, beans, and squash are all unhappy in the cold so we have decided to begin our seedling sale a little later than usual. Over the last few years we have experienced later frosts in the spring (early June last year) but also later frosts in the fall so that helps to offset the later spring planting. Because of this it seems wise to wait until Memorial Day to plant anything tender outside.
As always let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you soon.
