2021 is shaping up to be an exciting year here at Sturgeon Creek Farm. There are lots of new animal additions including our 13 baby lambs born this spring, a new heifer and steer, and about 100 baby chicks currently living in our newly completed brooder in the barn until they can go outside. This is a noisy place these days with lots to see. If you are interested in visiting the lambs or chicks let us know and we can set up a visit.
The biggest news this spring is the opening of our farm store right here in our barn. The store opening will coincide perfectly with our seedling sale and some other exciting upcoming events like Eliot Agway’s Chick sale here on May 8th. Seedling sales begin Friday, May 28th. The store will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 4:00 and seedlings will be available through June. As we get closer we will be sending out reminders but wanted to get the seedling list into people’s hands as we have had many requests for it this spring.
