It’s hard to believe that it is already September. It seems like summer just got started. But it also means cooler temperatures and that is a good thing for the garden. Here is what we have available on the farm this week.
Currently available:
• 3 Varieties of Potatoes (red,white and blue/purple) – $3.00 per quart box (about 2 pounds)
• Garlic – $2.00 large bulb
• Kale – $3.00 bunch with 10-12 stems
• Large Leeks – $2.00 each
• Young Carrots – $2.00 bunch
• Medium Yellow Onions (5 to 6 in a bag) – $3.00
• Large Red Onions (3 to 4 in a bag) – $3.00
• Pints of cherry tomatoes (yellow pear, orange and red mixed) – $3.00
• Quart boxes of slicing tomatoes (medium to large) – $5.00
• Green beans – $3.00 per lb
• Yellow Wax Beans – $3.00 lb
We will also have organically raised and pastured whole frozen chickens available for sale again on September 14th. And we have Thanksgiving turkeys available to order. We anticipate the turkeys will be between 15 and 25 pounds and you can specify what size you would like and we will come as close as possible to that size. Both chickens and turkeys are $4.50 lb. We would ask for a $10 deposit to reserve a turkey.
I will be in Portsmouth this week on Wednesday, Sept 4 and Friday, Sept 6 so can deliver on either of those days. As always you can pick up your order at the farm as well. Just let me know which you prefer. Hope to see you soon.
